Memories can be vivid, fiery, ephemeral and deceiving. It is not the repository of 'truth', every narrative brings with it a loss, far removed from the sensory experience and the previous understanding. However, every memory is a creation - not necessarily an entirely new invention, but the product of a confluence of past events and a particular situation in the present.
Liminal Cracks brings together 13 artist who explore the boundaries and dimensions of memory, touching on the uncertainties in liminal narratives, questioning the entanglement and dislocation of surroundings and personal memory. And how, in the midst of liminal space, to struggle in adapting to a comfort we once took for granted, even if it is lonely, paralysing, and overwhelming.
